Sears Hosts “Showcase” Collection Fashion Show and Press Event

Designers from around the world recently traveled to New York City for Fashion Week and Sears sat down with more than 27 key fashion editors and influencers for an intimate dinner event offering a sneak peak of our new “Showcase at Sears” concept. Showcase at Sears is a unique shop-in-shop experience that gives members and customers an exclusive opportunity to shop more than 10 European and Latin American international apparel brands – most available for the first time in the United States.

Attendees from top fashion and lifestyle publications were at the exclusive event, including InStyle, Allure, Marie Claire, Women’s Wear Daily, Nylon, Real Simple and Refinery 29. David Pastrana, president of apparel for Sears Holdings, shared the strategy behind Sears Showcase and products from the Showcase brands were shown on models throughout the evening.

Initially launching in five New York-area stores this fall, the Showcase will feature men’s and women’s apparel, women’s shoes, intimates and handbags and children’s apparel. Sears is building a 10,000 to 15,000 square-foot boutique within the existing apparel footprint of each of these stores that will be staffed by dedicated associates. Apparel styles will range from fast fashion and fitness to contemporary sportswear and professional looks, with prices ranging from $10 to $175.

Sears Showcase is an experience for members unlike anything in the U.S. retail industry. The Showcase will provide members with the opportunity to shop fashion-forward apparel collections featuring established and popular international fashion brands.

Showcase at Sears will launch with these major international brands, each of which will feature the same core products they sell in Europe and elsewhere:
