#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back, and this year Kmart is striving to hit a ridiculously awesome milestone – raising $100 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This is the first time a corporate partner has ever raised this amount of money in the history of St. Jude.
In honor of the occasion, Kelly Cook, Chief Marketing Officer, Kmart, and Thad Caperton, Director, Strategic Partnerships at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, along with St. Judepatients and their families rang the Closing Bell yesterday at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York City.
To support #GivingTuesday, shoppers are encouraged to head to Kmart or Kmart.com to purchase from the suite of St. Jude gifts, including the popular “Giving Hat,” which is embroidered with the inspiring message of #LOVE. Another way shoppers can show their support this holiday season is by purchasing a piece of St. Jude bear jewelry, which is inscribed with encouraging messages like “you are somebody’s reason to smile.” Shoppers can also donate at checkout to help achieve the awesome goal of raising $100 million in donations to help the great kids at St. Jude.
