Did you know that in all of the city of Boston’s 385 years, no year has had more snow than the winter of 2014? Boston received more than 108 inches of snow last winter. With winter just around the corner, the month of September—well before the first snowflake hits the ground—is the best time to buy a snow thrower. Sears stores are set and ready to kick off the snow season with a full selection of Craftsman snow throwers. We are experts in the snow business and every winter since 1962 our members have trusted us to provide high quality, durable and innovative snow throwers.
The last two winters have been severe with many regions experiencing record snow falls. It’s during big storms like these that the demand for snow throwers spikes as our members replace their snow thrower or decide they’re tired of the back-breaking work of shoveling. In the midst of a snowy winter, shoppers may be surprised and frustrated to find that retailers’ selections are narrow and supply is limited.
Snow thrower shoppers who research and buy in September have three big advantages. First, a full selection is available so they can choose the best model to fit their needs. Sears stores have up to 12 Craftsman models to shop, with all models available on Sears.com. Second, there are great offers and incentives to buy before the first snow falls. In the month of September, Sears Card members can get 24 months special financing1 on any snow thrower or no money down layaway with eight- and 16-week payment options.2 Lastly, by shopping early there is no risk of being caught out in the cold and unprepared for the first big snow storm of the season. We are expecting a busy pre-snow season at Sears with the 2015-16 Farmer’s Almanac saying “snowier-than-normal conditions are predicted” in many parts of the country.
Quiet Engine Technology & Pro Series
In 2014 Sears launched Quiet Engine Technology for snow throwers. These engines are up to 45 percent quieter than our regular dual-stage Craftsman engines and just as powerful. This Quiet Technology is exclusive to the Craftsman brand and allows users to clear snow any time of day with minimal disturbance to neighbors and the family. This year we are offering three models with Quiet Engine Technology starting at $799.
We are also growing the Craftsman Pro Series family with the exciting launch of Pro Series snow throwers. These dual and three stage units feature 24- and 28-inches in clearing capabilities and a four-blade impeller design that increases the ability to handle heavy, wet or even icy snowfall. Pro Series units are fully featured with power steering, headlights and X-Trac™ tires for extreme traction.
Craftsman snow throwers are tested under demanding conditions. We do this to make sure every unit can perform as promised and exceed our member’s expectations. This September, we look forward to preparing our members for winter’s worst!
