For several generations of tool users Sears and Craftsman have been a trusted resource. This trust extends from simple household maintenance to complex mechanical repairs. Sears and Craftsman help millions of Americans do their jobs, every day, as they proudly go to work building and fixing the things that make this country great!
In August of 2013 Sears launched a new program, the Tools Education Partnership Program, to provide tech students at colleges and vocational technical schools more affordable solutions to buying the tools they need as the newest generation of mechanics. Participating students will have access to more than 13,000 tools on sears.com available same or next day. In addition, the Tools Educational Partnership Program includes exclusive discounts to participating students, multiple financing alternatives and the opportunity to join the Craftsman Club to take advantage of monthly Club promotions and content.
Since the launch of the program Sears has communicated to over 300 schools, created local initiatives with store management teams and distributed thousands of brochures and discount cards to students. Because the Tools Educational Partnership Program offers a complete solution to students, over 28,000 transactions have taken place with this program over the past seven months. We’ve received dozens of additional inquiries from other vocational technical schools, high schools and colleges to understand more about the program as word spreads of the benefits of the program.
Waterloo Industries, Inc. has joined Sears in its efforts to increase awareness of and participation in the program. Waterloo has three full time Tech-Ed specialists that travel to college and technical fairs in 14 states to help promote the Educational Partnership Program to new students and graduates ready to start their first job.
If a student would like to take advantage of the Tools Educational Partnership Program, it is a simple process by signing up online or going to a local Sears store. To sign-up online go to www.sears.com/partnerprogram and click on the tech student sign-up tab. The student will register, via Craftsman Club, and immediately receive a bar code for additional discounts on tools to use in-store or online. To learn more about the program and to take advantage of student specific promotions, any student can go to their local Sears store, show their school identification to a sales associate, and receive a Tools Educational Partnership Program discount card worth up to 50 percent off mechanics tools sets or tool storage! We look forward to working with you.
